Stained Baskets
Yesterday was a perfect day to stain baskets. It was sunny, warm and calm. We have had lots of wind recently. Those windy days make it difficult to control the spray. I stained my Sue's Carrier and my recently made Teal Basket. They look so rich and beautiful when stained Again, I use the Minwax Golden Oak spray stain. I bought this can at Sutherland's in Fulton.

Shorty
The Shorty is made on a wooden oval base using the continuous weave pattern. The weaving goes under two and over two spokes. Julia made this shorty and chose to use 3 colors of spokes for a very nice colorful effect.
Below is one I made in Apple Green, my favorite color.
Tool Basket
The handle is attached to the elongated oval base.
This basket is great for storing the basket making tools.
Made by Julia 5/17/14.

Basket Making in Union
I went to Sue's home in Union for a basket making day. The basket of the day was the Teal Basket. I made a few changes to Sue's original design.
