Sue's Carrier

18 women spent a fun Saturday making Sue's Carrier.

Sue has the giggles!

Happy!

Speediest basket maker 3 times running!

This girl is happy!

One of our 14 year olds

Brenda is happy to help finish up that lashing.

We had two 14 year olds making baskets this time.

And now all of the lovely color combinations. Everyone makes Sue's design their own creation by using the dyed reed colors of her choice.

Orange and brown

Purple and Kelly Green

Same as above in better lighting

Red and ? (I think this was a dark green)

2 shades of Green

Teal and Rose

Orange and Brown

She was so pleased with her creation she had to strike a pose!

Work friends

Martha's basket!  I decided to branch out with my colors. I think this looks very EASTERY!

A view of the inside: The V's inside are called chicken feet!

Sue drills holes in the rims so that screwed in handles can be attached.

I am in love with these colors. It is such a pretty shade of teal.

Blue and Dark Blue

Brown and Tan

Grandmother helping secure grand daughter's handles:  What a great intergenerational bonding experience!

So proud of her accomplishments!!
